Chitosan, a derivative of chitin found in various natural sources, has long been celebrated for its versatility across industries, from pharmaceuticals to biomedicine. However, recent advancements have spotlighted its remarkable potential as a plant biostimulant, particularly in mitigating stress conditions. At the core of this innovation lies the interaction of chitosan with plant membranes, triggering the production of vital signaling molecules such as hydrogen peroxide and nitric oxide. This activation, in turn, stimulates plant defense mechanisms and elicits physiological responses essential for bolstering crop resilience.
Formulated from a blend of chitosan polysaccharides and oligosaccharides, RHYZO serves as an optimal rooting factor, nurturing root formation, enhancing nutrient absorption, and fortifying soil structure. Leveraging marine-based chitosan derivatives, RHYZO acts as a shield against root rot and microbial diseases while promoting robust root growth, thereby improving overall product quality and reducing reliance on fertilizers.
A dynamic blend of marine chitosan polysaccharides and sulfur-rich amino acids, BOOMAX is engineered to amplify farm productivity to unprecedented levels. By stimulating metabolic processes, BOOMAX accelerates flowering, increases flower and fruit yield, and enhances produce quality.
In regions like the Mediterranean, characterized by high temperatures and challenging growing conditions, the efficacy of products like Boomax and Rhyzo is indispensable. Farmers in Tamil Nadu, India, have embraced these solutions to combat high-temperature stress in tomato cultivation, witnessing firsthand their ability to enhance agronomic responses and elevate essential bioactive compounds crucial for tomato quality and nutrition.
Figure 1: Unveiling the Impact of RHYZO and BOOMAX on Tomato Fruit Yield, Quantity, and Size”
Treatment with Rhyzo and Boomax resulted in a significant increase in tomato production compared to the control group, with a remarkable 27% improvement (Figure 1). This increase can be attributed to a substantial rise in the number of fruits, reaching up to 17% more compared to untreated plants. Furthermore, considering cumulative fruit weight, an impressive 10% increase was exclusively observed in plants treated with Rhyzo and Boomax.
Figure 2: Soluble sugars (mg/g FW), vitamin C (mg/g FW), and color parameter (hue and chroma) in tomato fruits under the Impact of RHYZO and BOOMAX.
Color, a vital quality attribute, is significantly improved with RHYZO and BOOMAX treatments, resulting in redder fruits (Figure 2).. Additionally, sugar content, an indicator of taste and nutritional value, is notably increased, particularly with advanced-stage applications. Furthermore, vitamin C concentration, essential for human health, experiences a significant boost with RHYZO and BOOMAX treatments, further underscoring the nutritional benefits of these products.
In conclusion, the introduction of Boomax and Rhyzo marks a significant leap forward in agricultural technology, particularly in challenging environments like the Mediterranean region. Leveraging the unique properties of chitosan, these products offer holistic solutions to enhance crop health and yield, ultimately contributing to global food security amidst the escalating impacts of climate change. Empirical evidence supports the efficacy of Boomax and Rhyzo, demonstrating substantial improvements in tomato production, quality, and nutritional content. As we navigate the complexities of modern agriculture, embracing innovative solutions such as Boomax and Rhyzo becomes imperative in sustaining global food systems and ensuring a resilient future for agriculture.
